Release notes¶
What changed in each ConstructiVision release for AutoCAD, newest first. A version number reads CV 12.features.fixes: the middle number counts the features added since CV 12.0.0 and the last number counts the bug fixes, so each release moves one or both. The build identifies the exact download; the update prompt in ConstructiVision always offers the newest one.
Note
Until October 7, 2026 the product displayed a version counted a different way (for example 12.56.144). Those releases are listed here under their feature and fix count, with the number the product showed beside the build.
CV 12.25.205¶
Released October 15, 2026. Build 1db179e.
Added
The Tracker shows a progress track across the top, one segment per phase (Project, Site, Panels drawn, Pick points, Brace points), each marked Done, Now or To do in colour and in words. Click a segment to see that phase as its own page: its steps, their status and the next step. Finishing a phase moves the track to the next.
CV Sheets (command CV-SITE-SHEETS, in a site drawing) adds four ARCH D 24 x 36 sheets as layouts: the site plan, the pick plan with a slab-edge safety note, the front and back elevations, and the left and right elevations, each at a standard scale with the sheet size printed on it. Print them with Batch Utilities or PUBLISH. A sheet whose content is not drawn yet says which command to run. The site plan shows every panel laid out where it stands, and the elevations are centred in their views. The sheets export in full colour; CV Plot never falls back to black and white (print greyscale from your PDF viewer).
After each save, ConstructiVision backs up the project file, with the panel licences it holds, to your account. The backup is write-only and encrypted, never slows or blocks the save, and stops when your organisation turns project backup off in Account Settings.
Fixed
When OK on a panel cannot record it in the project file (no project loaded, or the export fails), the command line now says so and names the drawing, instead of leaving it out of the Tracker without a word.
Draw Crane, Crane Pick, Crane Capacity Check and Plan Picks refuse on a panel drawing and say why. The Crane toolbar drops the Crane Weight Units and Crane Catalog buttons: Crane Configuration covers both.
CV 12.22.203¶
Released October 13, 2026. Builds d00c0cd, 4ba431c, d64a3ed, ccf6059 (October 14, 2026), 4d31724 (October 14, 2026).
Fixed
Pick and Place: the planning meter keeps moving while a crane plan is worked out, instead of standing still until the plan is done.
Pick and Place: a crane with a published load chart is drawn and swung with that chart’s own boom length, so a pick the chart allows no longer lays the boom nearly flat.
CV 12.22.201¶
Released October 13, 2026. Builds 0dca84f, 139be7f, a3ced8a, 0c6dd6d, a94aff7, bfbe08c.
Fixed
A weld plate on the Down face has “Dn” on its label and a plate on Each face has “Ea”, and the Embed Placement Key says what the marks mean, so a black-and-white print still shows which face each embed is cast on.
CV 12.22.200¶
Released October 13, 2026. Build 9deac35.
Fixed
The Sandwich Panel dialog shows its whole check message under the fields, over up to five lines, instead of cutting it off after the first line.
CV 12.22.199¶
Released October 13, 2026. Builds 001a558, 902b145.
Fixed
Two AutoCAD sessions drawing panels at the same time no longer share the weight and centre-of-gravity work files, so a panel’s weight can no longer come from another session’s panel; when the weight cannot be computed the sheet leaves it blank instead of stopping.
CV 12.22.198¶
Released October 13, 2026. Build 1988c1b.
Added
Interference Check can time its own steps for support: start AutoCAD with CV_INTERFERE_TRACE=1 set and each step of the check and of the findings list is written to cv-interfere-trace.log in your temp folder. (Partly: it is being used to find why the findings list can stay blank for up to 35 seconds.)
Fixed
Printed sheets read more clearly, in colour and in black and white: the ConstructiVision credit prints at full text size beside the logo, weld plate labels and pilaster “T +” labels print on a white background, dimension values are masked against lines that cross them, reveal notes move off a pilaster’s dot shading, crowded bottom-dimension values spread apart along their line with a clear space between them, the centre-of-gravity labels step off a reveal strip, a future opening reads FUTURE over OPENING, the slab-dowel note keeps off an opening’s edge and off other text, weld labels stay inside the panel, zero-length dimensions are no longer drawn, the top plate note sits clear of the plate and the weld values above it, the weld schedule’s columns widen to fit a long Struct ID, weld labels side by side on an edge keep a clear space between them, a mitered edge’s angle, “Mitered Edge, See Detail” and “Down Face” notes move clear of the elevation markers and weld labels and its Down Face leader stops short of the FF marker, a mitered edge’s angle note reads up the edge inside the miter strip (or just beside a narrow one) instead of across the panel edge and fold lines, a weld edge value on a leader keeps off the dimension lines and its leader stops short of it (looking further out when the band is crowded, so it no longer covers the overall dimension), the top plate note keeps off the weld chain and lifts clear of the dimension lines when the band above the panel is full, elevation marker labels and the roof ridge tag print on a white background so a dimension line through them no longer strikes out the value, a reveal size note keeps off the weld plates, an opening’s width and height values no longer print over each other in its corner, a reveal size note that crosses another reveal prints on a white background so the reveal breaks behind it, a footing weld row’s spacing values sit clear of its plate labels, the Embed Placement Key keeps clear of the weld schedule and inside the sheet border (moving beside a long schedule when it must, sliding along its band when a note takes its place, and on a wide sheet keeping off the title block), an opening or blockout size note moves off weld labels, weld plates and shading (or prints on a white background where it cannot), a weld label left on a dimension value steps clear of it, the panel-bottom elevation no longer prints under a crowded elevation column, a crowded elevation column tightens its spacing to stay on the sheet (so CV Plot no longer warns the sheet’s edges will be cut off) and one too long even then is drawn in two columns, clear of the title block and the Embed Placement Key, the weld schedule’s title on a wide sheet sits clear of the top border, a dock door with a drip shows one “Drip” label, a weld dimension row under a door or window head comes down clear of the opening’s edge, on a sloped panel the roof-line dimensions move clear of the weld dimensions and the overall width (and the roof ridge’s elevation label clear of them), a reveal note no longer prints on its reveal strip, a dimension value routed out past the panel edge moves clear of the elevation labels there, the ConstructiVision credit finds a clear spot near the logo when a wide weld schedule fills the band beside it, and on a portrait sheet whose bottom band is full of dimensions the Embed Placement Key moves up beside the weld schedule instead of printing over them, and the “CG” label over the centre-of-gravity marker steps off a reveal strip, a dimension value or an opening’s edge, the right edge’s “FS on Edge” label prints clear of the edge line on large panels, and a sheet still too crowded to read at the minimum text size is drawn as it is with a note recommending 11 x 17 paper and stating the page its scale is drawn for. (Partly: work continues so every line on every sheet prints readably.)
Sandwich panel sheets: the exterior face shading prints under the dimensions and other text instead of over them, and the face and sandwich callouts print in black.
CV 12.21.197¶
Released October 12, 2026. Build 800c361.
Added
Update reminders come once a month: ConstructiVision offers a new version at start-up on or after the first Monday of each month, not for every small fix. To get the latest version any time, type CV-UPDATE or use Check for Updates on the CV menu.
Fixed
On a landscape sheet, the Thickening/Recess legend moves to the nearest clear spot instead of printing over the weld connection table.
Standard Opening: when you press OK with an opening at distance 0 and no Left, Right or Bottom snap, the command line names that row and says to tick a snap. Such an opening is drawn now but is not redrawn when the drawing is reopened.
The change log ConstructiVision keeps in your temp folder (cv-nod-diff.log) now starts over at 1 MB, keeping one older copy, instead of growing without limit.
A man door’s Description now survives a project export and import; it used to come back empty.
Recess/Blockout: choosing Circle greys the Snap To boxes, as the manual says.
Pilaster/Lintel: each Snap To box greys only what the manual says. Left or Right greys Distance and Measure From, Top or Bottom greys the elevations, so a bottom-snapped pilaster can be placed away from the edge. A newly enabled row starts at the panel bottom. (Partly: a negative Distance still draws at the edge.)
Interference Check updates and regenerates the display, with a message on the command line, and clears the selection the check leaves behind before the findings list opens.
A weld plate snapped to both panel edges beside a pilaster now takes its depth from the pilaster at its own edge, so it sits on the panel face instead of floating at the other pilaster’s depth.
Every weld plate is drawn at least 1” in each direction, as the original drawings show them, so a 3/4” plate snapped to an edge lands where the original puts it. (Partly: a few plates on Arlington Building A still differ.)
Two pilaster thickness labels on the same edge no longer print on top of each other, and a pilaster thickness label moves along its pilaster clear of a weld connection label.
An elevation marker in the side column steps down past a drafter’s own marker on a custom layer instead of printing over it.
Change Project Folder Location names the project file after the name you type, and the command line says how many drawings stay in the old folder and how to finish the move. It used to write the old name into the new folder.
CV 12.20.185¶
Released October 12, 2026. Build 8a0fe3f.
Fixed
Auto Scale now fits a tall, narrow panel and its panel mark on the sheet: such a panel drops to the next smaller standard scale instead of printing its mark above the border (ODE041 now prints at 1/4” = 1’).
A weld plate on the up face just above a pilaster that stands on the panel bottom now sits on the panel face in 3D; it was lifted by the pilaster’s depth and floated off the panel.
A panel with a wood top plate and a ledger now shows the ledger’s anchor bolts; drawing the top plate’s bolt marks had removed them.
The ConstructiVision credit line at the bottom of the sheet now prints inside the border.
CV 12.20.181¶
Released October 12, 2026. Build 442bafd (shown in the product as 12.20.182).
Fixed
Where two openings overlap along a ledger, the ledger and its anchor bolts are no longer drawn inside the openings.
A roof-line weld plate set where two roof-line segments meet at the same height is drawn once; it was drawn twice at the same point and counted twice in the weld schedule.
Where a panel drawing already holds a weld plate on the custom layer at the same place as a plate the panel draws, the Weld Connections Req. table counts that connection once; the custom copy stays on the sheet.
CV 12.20.178¶
Released October 11, 2026. Build 0fc39ef (shown in the product as 12.20.179).
Fixed
Opening a feature dialog from the toolbar and pressing OK without changing anything no longer rewrites the panel’s Main Panel settings.
A vertical reveal that runs past the top of a sloped or gabled panel now stops at the panel’s top edge; it used to continue to the height of the panel’s highest point and draw above the outline.
In Reveal Details, the elevation you type in Elev Left is copied into Elev Right, so a level reveal needs one entry; type a different Elev Right afterwards for a sloped one.
CV 12.20.175¶
Released October 11, 2026. Build 987197f (shown in the product as 12.20.176).
Fixed
Reveals are cut around a blockout where the blockout is actually drawn: one set to sit on the panel bottom, or flush with the left or right edge, no longer cuts the reveal at its typed elevation or on the other side of the panel.
Every weld connection plate is drawn on the connections layer. The first plate of an evenly spaced row was placed on the dimension layer, so it disappeared when that layer was frozen.
CV 12.20.173¶
Released October 11, 2026. Build 32a2fb6 (shown in the product as 12.20.174).
Fixed
A standard opening stored in rows 13 to 24 of the Standard Opening dialog now gets its SO elevation labels on the sheet, like the first 12.
Importing a project or panel file larger than 8 MB now says it was refused because the file is too large, instead of also reporting that the file could not be read.
The text-only chamfer note (“3/4” Chamfer Up & Down on: Panel Edges”) is flat in a 3D view; it used to stand as deep as the panel was thick.
CV 12.20.170¶
Released October 11, 2026. Build 0af7808.
Fixed
Change Project Folder Location opens on the project you are in: the dialog shows its name and its current folder, instead of a blank name and a new folder inside the project. The dialog says what OK does: it uses the folder shown, makes it if it is missing, and leaves your drawings where they are.
Main Panel OK asks before saving over another drawing in a project whose names end in digits (for example SegalP15072): renumbering a panel onto a number another drawing already uses now shows the overwrite prompt, as it does everywhere else.
The title block’s finished square footage takes off the face that a top step or a footing step cuts away, so it agrees with the panel’s weight and concrete volume.
CV 12.20.167¶
Released October 11, 2026. Build 6e92366.
Fixed
Layer Control: OK applies the layers you ticked and closes the dialog (it used to open it again), and Cancel closes it without changing any layer or tick.
CV 12.20.166¶
Released October 11, 2026. Build a6c4dfa.
Fixed
The product says Reveal again: Main Panel, Batch Printing, Layer Control, Program Options, Site Options, the colour theme, the Reveal Details and Vertical Reveal Details dialogs, the toolbar, the menus and the help. Layer Control’s dimension switches name what they switch (Connection dimensions, Reveal dimensions, Grid dimensions and so on) instead of each reading “Dimension”. Program Options shows the version that is running, and the Reveal Details column reads Reveal / Width.
A phase view that hides 2 Face no longer shows horizontal reveals: the panel is shown without their grooves, and the sheet’s weight and centre of gravity are still the complete panel’s.
Door guards draw upright on the jambs again (after a phase view they could draw as a wide bar across the opening), and a phase view no longer removes the drawing’s own blocks.
A phase view that shows neither weld face no longer prints the Embed Placement Key. Your own annotation on the CUSTOM and CUSTOM_DIM layers shows on All only, because it cannot be assigned to a phase; a phase view hides it and never erases it.
A panel drawing stored in a shaded visual style now draws in 2D Wireframe, so the panel prints as lines. A panel drawing started from a metric template keeps its floor line and other ConstructiVision dashed lines dashed: they are scaled to the inch dash pattern ConstructiVision draws in, and nothing else in the drawing is changed.
CV 12.20.161¶
Released October 11, 2026. Build f173449.
Fixed
The Dayton/Richmond, Meadow-Burke and WSB export writers no longer share a number formatter, so running one export can no longer change another’s output. Opening a project before any other ConstructiVision command now uses the panel prefix the project stores, as it does afterwards.
CV 12.20.160¶
Released October 11, 2026. Build 2bf0743.
Added
New service command CV-ENGEXP writes the open panel’s engineering data file for Dayton/Richmond (.pdx), Meadow-Burke (.txt) or WSB (.pan), beside the drawing, from the panel’s own record. The company and concrete details are left blank and listed on the command line until the firm details dialog returns. The drawing is never changed. Running it leaves the drawing exactly as it was, with no layer colour changed.
Licence and project messages now appear in a ConstructiVision box instead of one titled “AutoCAD Message”. When a panel can’t be licensed because your team is out of tokens, the box has a Buy tokens button that opens the pricing page. Batch Utilities, Materials List and Revision History with no project or panel open use the same box, and with no internet connection Main Panel says the licence server could not be reached instead of asking you to buy tokens.
CV 12.18.160¶
Released October 11, 2026. Build c5b451c.
Fixed
Site Draw and Tilt-Up finish in the SW isometric view, so a saved site reopens showing the standing building, shaded.
A printed panel book asks for the plotter once, on its first panel, and prints the rest with that choice. A plot outside a batch still asks every time.
CV 12.18.158¶
Released October 11, 2026. Builds 792da5a, 4045403.
Fixed
Opening Main Panel (from the toolbar or with Edit Current Drawing) and pressing Cancel leaves a drawing you did not change unmodified, so closing it asks nothing and a phase button works straight away.
CV 12.18.157¶
Released October 11, 2026. Build c0c8ad5.
Fixed
Plotting a panel again while its PDF is still open in a viewer no longer fails silently: the new plot is saved beside it with “-1” added to the name (AAA039-1.pdf, then -2 and so on), and CV says so. If no file could be written, CV says that instead of “plot submitted”.
A drawing set up with named plot styles plots as sharp vector lines and text through its .stb style table, and a shaded Model view plots as wireframe, not as a picture.
CV 12.18.155¶
Released October 11, 2026. Build e571d90.
Fixed
When two drawings in a project carry the same panel number, the project export says so on the command line and records it in the file; nothing is renamed and every panel is kept. This now includes the files Batch Utilities > Export Data File writes.
Cast Draw and Construction Layout keep the cast list in the site drawing itself, and the Crane Capacity Check reads it there, so no cast-sim.txt file is left beside the drawing.
The panel-number bubble steps aside from a drafter’s own note and its leader on a custom layer instead of printing over them; the note never moves.
A project file keeps its degree signs and other special characters whichever order the program’s parts load in.
CV 12.18.151¶
Released October 10, 2026. Build 1d0dab3.
Fixed
Panel sheets plot with a clear line-weight hierarchy: the sheet border heaviest, then the panel outline, the title block and visible features, then dimensions, then the shading patterns – the US National CAD Standard widths. A drawing whose layer line weights you set yourself keeps them.
CV 12.18.150¶
Released October 10, 2026. Build 7295253.
Added
Batch Utilities prints a book in a phase view: tick 1 Form, 2 Face, 3 Down Face, 4 Up Face or 5 Pick and Brace (All is ticked by default) and every panel prints showing just those phases. Each panel is redrawn for the print and closed without saving, so the complete panels stay on disk.
Fixed
The interference check reads wall lines drawn as polylines as well as lines, so panels standing on a polyline wall are no longer reported as being on no wall line.
CV 12.17.149¶
Released October 10, 2026. Build 26d6649.
Fixed
Partly: a Recess with a Z Offset is drawn as an insulation block buried inside the panel, labelled with its thickness and how far in it sits, instead of as a recess open to the down face. Panel Edge, Inside Openings and Liner are still recorded only.
Every line of the CV-TUTORIAL cards fits its box, and every card fits without scrolling.
Construction Layout IN on a site with no slab outline keeps every panel inside the building as its wall lines draw it, never across a wall line, including a building with a notched or stepped face. The crane keep-out is measured from where the crane is staged, outside the building, instead of from the middle of the building.
Cast Draw’s crane capacity-ring labels no longer stack on top of each other where rings are close together: each label sits clear of its neighbours on its own ring, above, below or to one side.
The Crane Catalog button’s tooltip no longer states a machine count that the catalog has outgrown.
CV 12.17.144¶
Released October 10, 2026. Build 9e48c3e.
Added
New ConstructiVision Crane toolbar row: Crane Configuration (pick the crane), Crane Catalog, Crane Weight Units, Draw Crane, Crane Pick, Crane Capacity Check and Plan Picks, which plans every pick in mark order with each crane station kept off the slab edge – one click each.
Fixed
The project export writes the project file through the same writer AutoCAD uses everywhere else.
Site Draw on an older site no longer leaves two copies of every panel: the earlier copy of each panel it places is removed, so each panel appears once.
Detach Panels now also removes the panel numbers, the attach labels and the braces that belonged to the panels, so nothing is left labelling empty ground.
Clicking Yes on the update prompt no longer opens an empty console window in front of AutoCAD.
Save Layout keeps the layout inside the drawing only. It no longer writes a conslist text file beside the drawing on every save, and a save that finds no panels keeps the layout saved earlier instead of overwriting it. Save Layout from Site Drawing Options now finds the drawing’s own panels, the same ones the CV-SAVELAY command finds.
CV Plot no longer prints a copy of a licensed panel. A copied drawing must be licensed as its own panel before it plots, also when an attempt to license it is refused, and also in a project folder that was moved or copied to another place.
CV 12.16.138¶
Released October 10, 2026. Build 5456e3f.
Fixed
Recesses and thickenings are shaded at the same spacing on the first panel you draw after starting AutoCAD as on every later one. The first draw of a session used a fixed spacing, so the same recess showed a different number of hatch lines.
The Tracker on a drawing with no project file now says so in a message box, instead of only on the command line, where it looked as if the button did nothing.
CV 12.16.136¶
Released October 10, 2026. Build 7ed4ff4.
Fixed
Pick-and-place reels draw each pick’s red unsafe ring from the crane’s net capacity – after the hook block and rigging – the same rule the pick check uses, so the picture never shows a reach as safe that the plan refuses.
CV 12.16.135¶
Released October 10, 2026. Build 7d2e318.
Added
Phase buttons on the toolbar, in the foreman’s build order: 1 Form (forms, openings, blockouts, pilasters, lintels, chamfer), 2 Face (reveals and face treatments), 3 Down Face, 4 Up Face and 5 Pick and Brace each show just that phase of the panel drawing, and All – the default – shows everything. From All a phase button shows only that phase; with a view up it adds or removes it. Each phase’s own dimensions and elevation callouts come with it, the weld schedule lists only the plates shown, a one-line footnote above the title block says which phases are shown – nothing is drawn over the panel – and nothing is saved: the complete panel stays on disk. On a landscape sheet the footnote turns with the sheet, and it only reports what its own text really touches. A long chamfer note that wraps to fit the sheet now leaves the other phases too, and a footing step’s elevation shows with 1 Form, where it belongs, instead of on no phase sheet. When dimensions fill the whole band above the title block, the footnote shortens to “PHASE VIEW – 1 Form” and sits clear in the margin.
CV 12.15.135¶
Released October 10, 2026. Builds 4328ef6, 1a1d2d9, 8a3298d, 9dca3c5.
Added
New Tracker button, with boot prints for its icon: from any drawing, see how far the project is, the next step and roughly how long until drawing is done, read from the project file, and open any of its drawings from the list. The ConstructiVision toolbar is now two rows – ConstructiVision and ConstructiVision Site & Tools – so every button fits on screen.
Fixed
Starting a new drawing, or opening another one, no longer leaves a stray internal counter behind for the next command to pick up.
Tilt-Up Panels puts your current layer back when it finishes, instead of leaving you drawing on the brace layer.
Crane rings use one colour language: capacity rings in steel blue, and red only for the unsafe distance, where a panel would exceed the crane’s capacity.
CV 12.14.132¶
Released October 10, 2026. Build 5715949.
Fixed
A linked copy licensed during an Update is now recorded under its own panel mark, not its source panel’s number.
A weld schedule too long to fit above the panel is now split into two or three tables across the top of the sheet, each with its own column headings, instead of running down over the panel’s top corner and its dimensions.
CV 12.14.130¶
Released October 10, 2026. Build 353d976.
Fixed
A roof-line weld connection that sits exactly where two roof-line segments meet draws its plate on the upper roof line again, instead of only the lower one.
Starting ConstructiVision no longer rewrites a drawing’s stored weld catalog or its dimension settings, two things that marked a drawing you had only opened as changed. The dimension settings are now applied when a panel or the site grid is drawn.
A standard opening set against the bottom of the panel at distance 0 is now cut out. It used to be skipped, which left its concrete in the panel and made the panel weight and centre of gravity wrong (on one Segale panel, 175.5 KIPS instead of 135.2).
CV 12.14.127¶
Released October 10, 2026. Build 2ac548e.
Fixed
A weld connection that is no longer on the roof line, or one on the next panel drawn in the same session, no longer keeps an earlier roof-line end limiting how far its plates fill; and a panel drawn with Pick Points off no longer picks up pick-point elevation markers left over from the previous drawing. Site Draw and Attach also read the site drawing’s sections through one reader, and a damaged section is reported instead of stopping the command.
CV 12.14.126¶
Released October 10, 2026. Build 60f9910.
Fixed
After a linked-panel refresh, the refreshed panel is saved, and the next Update from its source closes and redraws it, so it no longer shows unsaved changes or gets skipped as already open.
CV 12.14.125¶
Released October 9, 2026. Build a9bdf0a.
Fixed
Starting a New Project no longer switches off another add-in’s startup routine: ConstructiVision now runs after it instead of replacing it.
Ticking Enable on an empty Man Door, Dock Leveler, Slab Dowels or Pilaster row now fills it with the standard defaults instead of zeros, on a new panel and on a panel that already has stored rows.
CV 12.14.123¶
Released October 9, 2026. Builds 984673d, 49be73a.
Fixed
A pick on the Liebherr LTM 1500 now deducts the weight of its hook block (6.1 t, the heaviest block on the published data sheet) before comparing with the load, as every other crane with its own load chart already did. It used to compare the load with the full chart capacity.
In Pick and Place, when a panel would have to be lifted ahead of its turn to keep the crane off its casting bed, the plan now swaps its bed with the panel that is due, so the panels are still set in sequence. It used to set the early panel on its wall out of order.
Tilt-Up braces every standing panel. A panel with no programmed brace points gets the default braces, two to four by panel area at two thirds of its height, each top on solid concrete, and the run summary says how many panels used the defaults.
CV 12.14.120¶
Released October 9, 2026. Build 54e6678.
Fixed
A panel’s top plate now also runs over the top of each pilaster and L-corner return, instead of stopping at the panel’s own face, and is drawn as one plate.
CV 12.14.119¶
Released October 9, 2026. Build 97d6768.
Fixed
When a site grid has rows in only one direction, the message now says which direction has no gridlines; it used to say it had some.
Redrawing a panel keeps your own notes and labels on the custom layers. A panel with a roof-line weld array used to delete some of them, such as the number in a hand-drawn grid bubble, while it cleared the old roof-line spacing dimensions.
On a site drawing with attached panels, each panel’s Embed Placement Key is hidden with the rest of the sheet. Its coloured squares used to stay visible beside the panel. A panel drawn on an earlier version shows them until it is redrawn.
CV 12.14.116¶
Released October 9, 2026. Build 384216c.
Fixed
On a site, every panel stands at its own expansion gap along the wall instead of flush against its module’s start, so a corner panel no longer overlaps the panel that runs past it, and the joint between neighbours is the gaps the two panels face each other with.
CV 12.14.115¶
Released October 9, 2026. Build d7711a8.
Fixed
The Weld Connections Req. schedule counts every weld connection drawn on the panel, including Each-face and rotated plates, which it used to leave out of the quantities.
CV 12.14.114¶
Released October 9, 2026. Build ae79b0e.
Fixed
A weld connection set to the panel edge (Edge) is drawn edge-on and flush with that edge, as the original drawing does (for example WC102 at the left edge), instead of as a face plate half a plate width in.
In Pick and Place, a brace whose top would land in a door or window opening is slid along the wall onto solid concrete, even when its foot is already on the slab pour.
When Pick and Place lays out panels cast on the slab, each panel now sits on top of the slab instead of partly inside it, so every lift starts from the slab surface.
A panel redrawn without its own project weld catalog (no catalog saved in the drawing and no wc.dll in its folder) draws every weld plate RED, with a note on the sheet saying the plates are another job’s and must not be fabricated. It used to draw another job’s plates in normal colours, such as a 68 in wide plate where the panel’s own is 6 in.
A weld connection with a Z Offset is drawn at that depth in the panel, as the original drawing does: two plates set into a pilaster at 19 3/4 in and 41 1/2 in no longer sit on top of each other outside the concrete.
CV 12.14.109¶
Released October 9, 2026. Build 4d8652a.
Fixed
Planning picks a second time in the same AutoCAD session no longer runs out of time on every pick: each plan starts with its pick timer stopped, so the crane stations are searched again.
On a panel with slab dowels or a pilaster, the weld connection plates and the Weld Connections Req. table are drawn flat in 3D. They used to stand out from the panel face as tall blocks, as deep as the dowels or the pilaster.
A row of weld connections with a set count no longer leaves out its last plate when that plate falls at the panel edge: the last plate is drawn flush with the edge, as the original drawing does.
CV 12.14.106¶
Released October 8, 2026. Build 01b484f.
Fixed
A new panel started from New Drawing no longer inherits the sample panel’s number or its “Dimensions are from Inside Wall” setting: it starts at the default, Outside Wall, with no panel number.
CV 12.14.105¶
Released October 8, 2026. Builds 0d570c5, 8c85327, 7882b19.
Fixed
The per-panel licence check recognises a paired seat from its stored device token as well as its pairing record, so a paired seat is always treated as paired.
The Interference Check listing says why a panel is too long for its bay (its width plus edge offsets, against the bay), and numbers repeated findings with their centre point so each one can be found.
Adding a dock leveler (or any opening) that overlaps another opening no longer stops the redraw before the panel is saved. A top plate or ledger piece that falls entirely inside the openings is left out, and the command line says so beside the placement warning.
CV 12.14.102¶
Released October 8, 2026. Build c0a51be.
Fixed
A panel exported to a .cvpanel file carries its project’s weld connection types with it, so importing it into a drawing outside its project folder draws the weld plates at the project’s own sizes and marks. If the file has no project weld types, the import says the plates will come from this folder’s or the standard set.
On a wide panel, an elevation label beside the panel edge (such as the Top Plate elevation) no longer runs past the sheet border: a label too long for the space is drawn with narrower characters so it fits, at the same text height. Applies to portrait sheets.
CV 12.14.100¶
Released October 8, 2026. Builds c1ec754, 07961f6, 9ed4c1e, b2ee6b7.
Fixed
Exporting a project file no longer prints a false error about the roof line section when the panel has no roof line rows.
CV 12.14.99¶
Released October 8, 2026. Build dad8ce4.
Fixed
CV-DIAG, Save Layout (answering No to Overwrite) and Layout Panels (on a drawing with no attached panels) finish normally with a message instead of stopping abruptly; Layout Panels no longer leaves its In/Out mode set for the next run. The CVSNAP, CVSTATS and CV-PANEL-DUMP service commands do the same when they cannot write their output file: each says which file and stops cleanly. Partly: a few other commands still stop this way and are being changed one by one.
Pick and place: a corner brace moved along the wall to keep its foot on the poured slab now stops on concrete instead of landing in a door or window opening.
CV 12.14.97¶
Released October 8, 2026. Builds bbb88ac, ad2fa29, 3400768.
Added
Print/Plot plots through a named page setup, CV-Plot, which AutoCAD’s Page Setup Manager lists, so you can see the device, paper, plot style and scale CV used. If that page setup cannot be made, CV plots the way it did before and says why.
CV 12.13.97¶
Released October 8, 2026. Build 8587505.
Fixed
A weld connection placed on the Roof Line is drawn at the roof line’s height at the edge it sits on. On some corner panels it had been drawn at the height of the roof line’s other end, and after a Weld Connections OK it could land far below the roof line.
The “Update ready” message shows all of its text. Its last sentence – restart before checking whether something was fixed – had been cut off.
CV 12.13.95¶
Released October 8, 2026. Builds 0c12b02, 0a5bc3c.
Fixed
The project file (.cvp) carries the site: saving from the site drawing writes it, and saving a panel keeps it. (Each save used to replace it with an empty site.)
Linked Panels: after updating an out-of-date panel in place, the last message names the panel it was synced with. (It used to say it was back at the source panel.)
Importing a .cvp or .cvpanel file no longer prints a stray “T” after IMPORTED.
CV 12.13.92¶
Released October 7, 2026. Build 7bd025c.
Fixed
Importing a project file reads openings, man doors and pilasters under their newer field names (distance, elevation, additional thickness) as well as the older ones, so files from either version import the same. Exported project files carry each weld connection’s pocket height, width, depth and elevation and each ledger’s quantity under spelled-out names; files written with the older names still import.
A template exported for ConstructiVision Web carries its square and round blockouts under the blockout key, so they no longer arrive as rough openings.
Linked Panels: opening an out-of-date linked panel and choosing Update now updates it in place, with other drawings open. (It used to skip the panel unless it was the only drawing open.)
CV 12.13.89¶
Released October 7, 2026. Build b7ab1d6.
Fixed
Global Change: applying a recorded change saves it where the panel is read from, so the change is still there when the panel is opened again. (Applying a change set from the menu is not available yet; the dialog records the change.)
CV 12.13.88¶
Released October 7, 2026. Build b735ce7.
Fixed
Cancelling Main Panel keeps each man door, dock leveler, reveal and top plate at the size the drawing stores, and keeps the panel’s brace points and pick points as entered. (The Cancel used to put the default sizes and positions back in place of the stored ones.)
CV 12.13.87¶
Released October 7, 2026. Build 64f01b7.
Fixed
The built-in checks for the Site Drawing and Attach Panels tutorials now expect what the tutorials teach: the walls walked clockwise from the north-west corner, Panel 1 on the north wall and Panel 12 on the east.
Layout Panels no longer asks for the gap between panels: it spaces them by each panel’s own Expansion Gap Left and Right, or a 1 1/2” default it names. (The question it used to ask had no effect on the spacing.)
CV 12.13.85¶
Released October 7, 2026. Build 1d9e786.
Added
Sites record which way the top of the drawing faces (North, South, East or West), set with the CV-SITE-ORIENT command or the “Drawing top faces” row in Gridline Details. The site draw names the face Panel 1 stands on, worked out from the walls themselves, so L-shaped buildings and sites drawn with east at the top are no longer reported as starting at the wrong corner. (Work continues: choosing the start corner and numbering direction.)
Fixed
Chamfer Details shows each row’s Up, Down or Both setting as it was saved, so pressing OK keeps an Up-only chamfer Up-only.
CV 12.12.84¶
Released October 7, 2026. Build d3edd08.
Added
Heal Holes: after Site QA marks the panels that are missing a pilaster, one command redraws those panels from their own records, reloads only their references on the site, and checks again, so the wall closes without opening each panel by hand.
Fixed
The tutorial now teaches Standard Opening as the window and Rough Opening as a conduit or chase.
CV 12.11.83¶
Released October 7, 2026. Builds dff7922, 2a2c53c.
Fixed
Wall Line Details: when two rows describe the same wall (a walk that doubles back on itself), the site draw names both rows instead of silently drawing their panels on top of each other.
CV 12.11.82¶
Released October 7, 2026. Build 2c7dd66 (shown in the product as 12.56.144).
Fixed
Cast Out after Tilt-Up lays the panels flat again (it was refused). Cast In keeps the panels it places inside the building and stages the overflow, named, outside it.
Slab from Constructed Panels: on a site whose wall lines are set on the panels’ inside face, panels of different thickness no longer split the slab edge into extra sides (it could exceed the 64 a site holds and be refused).
A dimension that AutoCAD fails to create is retried once and reported, so a panel sheet does not silently lose a dimension. (The cause is still being investigated.)
Importing a site draws its wall lines, so Attach can find the building straight after the import.
Autosite puts the slab edge on the panels’ inside face when the wall lines are set on the inside face (it was one panel thickness short).
CV 12.11.77¶
Released October 7, 2026. Build 587435e (shown in the product as 12.55.140).
Fixed
Project Details now update the title block: a project renamed in Project Details prints its new name on the panel sheets.
Importing a site from a project file records the panel prefix in the site, so Attach no longer guesses it from the file name.
Horizontal Reveals stop at rough openings, dock levellers and round blockouts instead of running through them, including around a round blockout.
CV 12.11.74¶
Released October 7, 2026. Build 77e8c30 (shown in the product as 12.55.136).
Fixed
Crane Config’s weight unit (kips, US short tons or metric tonnes) is remembered after AutoCAD restarts.
Crane Config’s crane selection is remembered after AutoCAD restarts.
CV 12.11.72¶
Released October 7, 2026. Builds 938c88f (shown in the product as 12.55.132), 7d19e2e (shown in the product as 12.55.133).
Added
Older projects with 15-field weld rows: the CV-UPGRADE-PROJECT command widens them to the current format, keeping each weld’s To Edge setting and Z offset, and every weld plate stays where it was; on open, a legacy weld plate snaps and arrays where the original product drew it.
Fixed
A new customer’s first panel no longer prints the sample project’s name in its title block.
CV 12.10.72¶
Released October 7, 2026. Build 05fb1dd (shown in the product as 12.53.130).
Added
The panel mark travels with every licence check, and a licence bought for a different mark is named when it is refused.
Plotting checks the licence a drawing carries: a panel licensed for another mark is refused at plot. (First part of the licence check on print and export.)
Fixed
Widening an older weld row keeps its To Edge setting and Z offset.
An older 15-field weld row keeps its To Edge setting when its panel is opened.
CV 12.8.70¶
Released October 6, 2026. Build 65b25ac (shown in the product as 12.51.127).
Fixed
Partly addresses crane planning on large sites stopping some picks at its one-minute planning limit. (Work continues.)
Pick and place keeps the crane on the slab: picks are taken in reach order instead of driving off the slab and back mid-run.
Safety: the crane sequence no longer places a crane station across the slab edge or inside the wall clearance band.
CV 12.8.67¶
Released October 6, 2026. Build 2f96f6f (shown in the product as 12.51.124).
Fixed
Panel feature rows are read through one shared step, so a feature reads the same in its dialog and on the drawing.
Saving a dialog no longer rewrites stored values that did not change (a whole number saved again as a decimal).
CV 12.8.65¶
Released October 6, 2026. Build c2a171f (shown in the product as 12.51.122).
Fixed
An untouched weld-type list on a disabled, blank weld row no longer writes a weld type into that row.
At a corner, a brace foot no longer lands in the neighbouring wall’s unpoured closure strip.
CV 12.8.63¶
Released October 6, 2026. Builds 90cd3e8 (shown in the product as 12.51.118), 6af54c3 (shown in the product as 12.51.120).
Fixed
Exporting a project file and importing it again keeps pick points, pilasters, top plate and roof line rows, revision history and every Main Panel value.
CV 12.8.62¶
Released October 6, 2026. Builds f0317cd (shown in the product as 12.51.114), 0812578 (shown in the product as 12.51.114).
Fixed
Pick and place braces stand within the supplier’s recommended band (10 to 20 percent of the panel width from each edge) and avoid openings without moving into a narrow jamb.
CV 12.8.61¶
Released October 6, 2026. Build b6f9510 (shown in the product as 12.51.113).
Fixed
Blockouts keep all of their stored details when a panel is opened; three fields could be dropped before.
CV 12.8.60¶
Released October 6, 2026. Build 2ce7f32 (shown in the product as 12.51.112).
Fixed
Panel feature dialogs warn when a feature is placed off the panel or on top of another.
The title block no longer prints a negative finished area when the deductions are larger than the panel.
CV 12.8.58¶
Released October 6, 2026. Build 0807846 (shown in the product as 12.51.108).
Fixed
Main Panel calls the feature “Feature Strip”, the same name as the dialog it opens (it said “Reveal”).
The site slab no longer stores dozens of empty placeholder fields that nothing reads.
CV 12.8.56¶
Released October 5, 2026. Build db5d0c0 (shown in the product as 12.51.106).
Fixed
Attach now says why it could not read a site’s wall runs, instead of silently using an older placement routine.
Tilt-Up says why it stopped when an error interrupts it.
CV 12.8.54¶
Released October 5, 2026. Build 67820d8 (shown in the product as 12.51.104).
Fixed
Attach and Tilt-Up no longer crash while reporting an error they had caught.
Attach and Tilt-Up restore your AutoCAD settings (file dialogs, object snaps) after an error.
CV 12.8.52¶
Released October 5, 2026. Build 95aadc7 (shown in the product as 12.51.103).
Fixed
A zero or blank bolt or dowel spacing no longer stops the drawing; the skipped row is named instead.
Main Panel: typing a mitre angle enables its Z Offset box right away.
CV 12.8.50¶
Released October 5, 2026. Build cc76585 (shown in the product as 12.51.101).
Fixed
Main Panel: clicking the Landscape option after typing a Peak Distance now changes the selection.
A second redraw keeps the “Roof Line = Joist Bearing” and “(Typ. All Panels)” title notes.
CV 12.8.48¶
Released October 5, 2026. Builds 7a5a21f (shown in the product as 12.51.98), 916524a (shown in the product as 12.51.99).
Fixed
New Project prints the project name you typed in the title block (it printed the folder name), and the project folder is named after it.
CV 12.8.47¶
Released October 5, 2026. Build f0fe41e (shown in the product as 12.51.97).
Fixed
Attach remembers the drawing you picked for a panel, so a second Attach on the same site does not ask again.
CV 12.8.46¶
Released October 5, 2026. Build 2957693 (shown in the product as 12.51.95).
Fixed
New panels start from the same current template whether they are made from New Drawing or from the panel menu.
A second Attach on the same site no longer stacks a duplicate of every panel.
CV 12.8.44¶
Released October 5, 2026. Build 0672b40 (shown in the product as 12.51.93).
Fixed
If a dialog cannot read a stored section, pressing OK no longer writes blank rows over it.
Standard Opening: a ticked but empty row is stored as off, the same way the drawing reads it.
CV 12.8.42¶
Released October 5, 2026. Build 742292d (shown in the product as 12.51.90).
Fixed
The site draw tool gives back your AutoCAD log-file settings and explains what it runs on instead of opening with an error.
CV 12.8.41¶
Released October 5, 2026. Build 896872e (shown in the product as 12.51.83).
Fixed
Panel export stops with a clear message when the drawing has no title block, instead of continuing with incomplete data.
Numbered and Lettered Grids show each grid’s distance in feet and inches instead of raw stored decimals.
Man Door: pressing OK without changes no longer rewrites or adds blank rows.
Dock Leveler: pressing OK without changes no longer fills the section with template rows.
Feature dialogs no longer switch a feature off when its count is zero, and Standard Opening no longer recalculates when you press Cancel.
CV 12.8.36¶
Released October 5, 2026. Build 7aa3be2 (shown in the product as 12.51.76).
Added
Brace Points: each row has a Side setting (Inside, Outside or Both), so a brace can stand outside the building or on both faces.
Fixed
Internal quality check: the full-AutoCAD drawing check now records the panel data it draws, so its nightly comparison is complete.
The Grid dialog no longer turns a distance it cannot read into 0 (which moved the grid to the origin).
A new man door’s elevation now defaults to the slab bottom instead of grade.
Door guards now draw: the door guard symbol was referenced but missing from the product.
Pilaster widths are dimensioned again on the panel sheet.
Isometric views now regenerate and present the panel, and the Shaded View option takes effect.
A panel drawing no longer opens on an empty layout with no viewport (which looked like a pinhole view).
Attach finds lesson panels whether their numbers are written with or without a leading zero.
An interrupted update no longer blocks every later update attempt for 40 minutes.
Editing features on several panels from the site drawing now saves to each panel drawing, and reports a failure instead of a false success.
Slab dowel geometry is no longer cleared when a panel is saved without opening the Slab Dowel dialog.
Brace point rows are stored the same way whichever dialog saves them.
The centre-of-gravity marker sits on the plan with every other elevation marker (it could be placed at the wrong height).
An opening’s head and sill reveal labels no longer print across the reveal’s size note and a dimension.
Dock Leveler: pressing OK without changes no longer fills unused rows with template sizes.
Pressing OK on an older drawing’s Main Panel without changes no longer asks to add a revision stamp.
Main Panel’s Undo button is disabled until undo is available (it showed a “not implemented” message).
Revision History’s Date column is wide enough for a date with a time.
The updater’s log names everything it is waiting for, not only the first busy program.
Pick Point Details on a new panel opens with a Rows option selected.
Cast Draw’s crane capacity rings no longer cross the sheet title.
Site dimension layers keep one colour instead of changing with whichever routine ran last.
Moving a project folder no longer makes every panel read as unlicensed, which had blocked site edits.
When a site edit cannot read a panel, it says why (for example, the panel is open as its own drawing).
Site edits no longer rewrite unchanged opening rows.
A peak that is skipped is no longer dimensioned (it placed an off-sheet top-of-concrete marker and a wrong overall height).
Layout no longer imports another drawing’s saved panel layout from a stray file in the project folder.
Interference Check reads each panel from where the project is now, so a moved project no longer reports every joint as a gap.
CV 12.7.8¶
Released October 4, 2026. Builds 4c6ec21 (shown in the product as 12.42.44), 7b710d5 (shown in the product as 12.44.44).
Added
Panel design follows the order a panel is built: Main Panel’s feature list and the CV toolbar run main dimensions, shape and cuts, down face, up face, then pick and brace. The core tutorial course runs in the same order, and the lesson check grades each step in the lesson that teaches it.
CV 12.6.8¶
Released October 4, 2026. Build 514de07 (shown in the product as 12.37.43).
Fixed
The horizontal Reveal dialog keeps a row’s right-hand elevation when the row is already vertical.
CV 12.6.7¶
Released October 4, 2026. Build f04eb75 (shown in the product as 12.35.41).
Added
Sandwich (insulated) panels: describe the structural wythe, insulation and facing wythe. Weight, concrete volume and centre of gravity come from the two concrete wythes. The sheet carries a layer callout that finds a clear spot on the panel, and the wythe connectors at their recorded spacing, kept clear of the panel edges and of every opening. The stack check warns when the structural wythe would be poured first, because the pick and brace inserts go in the second pour. Has its own toolbar button.
Architectural exterior face: form liners and face materials (thin brick, stone, exposed aggregate, sandblast) drawn and hatched on the sheet, kept off openings, with a callout. Has its own toolbar button. (Work continues.)
Fixed
Metric sheets round consistently: lengths print rounded down to whole millimetres, and a millimetre value you type is stored so it reads back exactly.
CV 12.4.6¶
Released October 3, 2026. Build c453380 (shown in the product as 12.30.36).
Fixed
Uninstalling removes everything ConstructiVision installed: backups, staging files, support-path entries and local data.
Autosite places the first-pick crane inside the building when the slab has room for it.
An update that finds AutoCAD running waits and installs when AutoCAD closes, instead of giving up.
CV 12.4.3¶
Released October 3, 2026. Builds e331b77 (shown in the product as 12.28.29), 8350eee (shown in the product as 12.30.33).
Added
Pick and place planning: a full site plan in one pass down the crew’s aisle, crane stations suggested with the reason for each stop, overlapping stations merged, lifts ordered so braces and casting beds do not block later picks, closer panels lifted last, and a job clock at two measured paces. On a site with a closed slab edge, Layout casts every panel on the slab. Partly: on outside-crane jobs a few picks can still exceed the chosen crane’s load chart, or carry a panel into a standing panel or brace.
Fixed
Panel sheets plot at the scale printed in their title block.
CV 12.3.2¶
Released October 1, 2026. Build 7c790f8 (shown in the product as 12.8.6).
Added
Dialogs: column headers line up with their fields, Cancel and Help sit on a right-edge bar, and Interference Check and Linked Panels are on that bar too, across the dialogs updated so far.
Braces are drawn as pipes with end fittings, and the pick and place check judges crossings on the pipes themselves (no more clashes reported between thin lines that real pipes would not have).
Metric sheets: panel drawings can print in millimetres. Dimensions round down to whole millimetres, dates print as ISO 8601 (2026-10-07), areas and volumes as m² and m³, and stock items (anchor bolts, chamfers, reveal depths) keep their catalogued inch sizes.
Fixed
The brace line is drawn on top of the slab instead of buried under it.
CV 12.0.2¶
Released October 1, 2026. Builds c0efcd3 (shown in the product as 12.0.3), 236954e (shown in the product as 12.0.4).
Fixed
Program Options, New Drawing, Slope, 3D Viewpoint and the Project, Drawing and Drawing Type prompts put Cancel and Help on the right-edge bar.
Attach reads each panel’s corner details before placing it and no longer fails on a panel with a missing record.
CV 12.0.0¶
Released October 1, 2026. Build ffb1715.
The first release of the CV 12 line.
