400 — Your account, membership and tokens¶
Everything ConstructiVision needs to tell you about your account sits on the welcome screen, before you open a project.
Note
This lesson also exists in the browser. Work it in ConstructiVision on the web — same steps, same values, so you can follow either and end up with the same panel.
What the welcome screen shows¶
Your email |
who you are signed in as |
Status |
your membership — Member when it is current |
Balance |
how many tokens you hold |
Manage |
membership and billing |
Sign out |
ends the session |
Nothing on this screen changes anything. It reports.
What tokens are for¶
Tokens are what AI Takeoff spends when it reads a blueprint set — the work of turning a drawing into panels is what draws them down. Ordinary panel editing, drawing and exporting do not spend tokens.
So a balance matters when you are about to ingest a set, and not much otherwise.
Membership and tokens are separate¶
Two things people reasonably expect to be one:
Membership is your access to the product. When it lapses, it lapses.
Tokens are consumable and bought separately. Having tokens does not extend your membership, and renewing your membership does not grant tokens.
Manage is where both are handled.
What to take away¶
Status and balance are two different questions, and the welcome screen answers both before you start work. If AI Takeoff is what you are here for, check the balance first.
