413 — Project settings¶
Everything that belongs to the job rather than to any one panel.
Note
This lesson also exists in the browser. Work it in ConstructiVision on the web — same steps, same values, so you can follow either and end up with the same panel.
Where it is¶
The gear in the top bar, beside the project name. It is the biggest settings surface in the product — eight sections.

Job-Site Weather is not decoration¶
Concrete cures according to conditions. A job-site weather setting sits in the project because it belongs to the pour, not to a panel — and it is the sort of field that looks like metadata until somebody needs to know why a panel was stripped when it was.
Panel Prefix names your panels¶
Panel Prefix is what panel marks are built from. It belongs here because it is a property of the job — every panel in the project inherits it.
Note
In AutoCAD, this is a known sore point. cv-cad has taken the prefix from the drawing file name rather than from the model, so a renamed file could produce differently-named panels. Tracked as CV-1979 and fixed in source. The browser reads it from the project, where you set it here.
Two doors onto the same setting¶
Title Block, Paper Size and Orientation live here. Title Block and units also appear in Drawing Setup.
They are the same setting, not two copies of it — both dialogs write
settings.titleBlock, so changing it in either place changes it everywhere. Drawing Setup is
the small door for the two you touch most; this is the full one.
Nothing to reconcile, then. Use whichever is closer to hand.
What to take away¶
The gear is the job: who the contractor is, how the concrete behaves, what the panels are called, and how the sheets come out. If a setting feels like it should apply to everything, this is where it lives.
