410 — Program Options: the whole panel in one place¶
Every feature a panel can carry, on one screen, with its limit written next to it.
Note
This lesson also exists in the browser. Work it in ConstructiVision on the web — same steps, same values, so you can follow either and end up with the same panel.
Where it is¶
Program Options, from the panel properties panel. It opens a grid of 21 entries — one per feature — and each is a door to that feature’s own dialog.
If you know AutoCAD’s Main Panel Details, this is the same idea: the map you come back to rather than a thing you fill in.
The limits are on the tiles¶
This is the part worth reading, because it is the answer to a question you would otherwise have to discover by hitting it:
Rough Openings |
up to 4 |
Windows · Man Doors · Rect Blockouts · Round Blockouts |
up to 6 each |
Dock Levelers |
up to 3 |
Horizontal Feature Strips · Vertical Feature Strips |
up to 19 each |
Nineteen reveal strips per direction is a lot of panel. Four rough openings is not — and knowing that before you plan a wall is worth more than finding out at the fourth one.
The rest of the grid¶
Geometry: Panel Dimensions, Pilasters, Ledgers, Top Profile, Top Steps, Footing Shapes, Side Slabs, Slope Details, Change Thickness.
Construction: Brace Points, Pick Points, Weld Connections.
Paperwork: Panel Attributes — quantity, finish, sealer.
Use it as a checklist¶
Because it lists everything a panel can have, it is a decent last pass before issuing: walk the grid and ask which of these the panel should carry. Features that are simply forgotten are the ones this catches.
What to take away¶
Twenty-one features, each with its cap on the tile. Read the caps before you plan; walk the grid before you issue.
