205 — Pilaster & Lintel, in cv-web¶
The cv-web companion to tutorial 105. A thickened column built into the panel, or a ledge running across it.
Note
This lesson also exists in the browser. Work it in ConstructiVision on the web — same steps, same values, so you can follow either and end up with the same panel.
Before you start¶
Open cv-web, load the ConstructiVision Sample Building sample project, and switch to Panel mode in the top bar. Features live as groups in the properties panel on the right.
Where it is¶
cv-cad keeps both in one dialog — Pilaster — Lintel Details. cv-web gives them a group each: Pilasters and Lintels. Same feature, same row, split by what it is being used for.
Note
Looking for a brick ledge? It is a Lintel, in both products. There is no separate brick-ledge tool.
Greyed fields mean the answer is already known¶
Tutorial 105 covers this on the AutoCAD side and it is worth repeating: a pilaster snapped to a corner runs the full height of the panel, so its elevations are not yours to choose — they are the panel’s ends. The product fills them in and greys them.
That is not a fault. It is the product telling you which dimensions it has already worked out.
Honest differences¶
No modal dialog. cv-cad opens a dialog; cv-web expands a group in place.
No sheet border. The browser shows the panel, not a shop drawing sheet.
Everything the two products both expose should agree exactly. A value that differs between them is a defect worth reporting, not a difference to work around.
