213 — Dock levelers, in cv-web¶
The blockout a dock leveler sits in — the one that has to line up with a truck.
Note
This lesson also exists in the browser. Work it in ConstructiVision on the web — same steps, same values, so you can follow either and end up with the same panel.
Where it is¶
Program Options → Dock Levelers. Cap in the title: Dock Levelers (3 max) — the tightest limit of the opening features, against six doors or windows and four rough openings.
No size palette here, and that is correct¶
Rough openings, windows and man doors all open with a palette of common sizes. This one does not, and it is not an omission.
A dock leveler blockout is sized by the leveler unit being installed and the dock height it serves. There is no “common size” to offer that would be right often enough to be worth offering — so the dialog asks you for the dimensions rather than guessing.
A missing convenience is sometimes a correct refusal. This is one of them.
What you set¶
Width, height and position per blockout, up to three. The same slot rows as every other feature dialog, without the palette on top.
It is checked against the corpus¶
dlvar is watched by the corpus review. Given there is no
palette steering you toward a usual size, that check earns its keep here more than
elsewhere.
On the AutoCAD side¶
AutoCAD calls this Dock Leveler Details — near enough the same name, unlike Windows, which is a Standard Opening over there.
What to take away¶
Three per panel, no presets by design, and the corpus review is the thing watching for a size that does not belong.
