Look it up by the word you actually use

If you know a feature by its name on the drawings and cannot find it in the menu, it is almost certainly here under a different word. ConstructiVision names things its own way, and one product term often covers several industry terms.

Nothing in this page is a missing feature. Every row is something the product can already do — the entry tells you what it is called and which lesson shows it.

Thickenings — the Lintel family

Four industry words, one dialog. Pilaster — Lintel Details covers all of them.

The manual is explicit about the first one — “A Lintel (Corbel) is a thickening” — and about the third: “Pilasters or Lintels may also be extended from either edge of the Panel to produce supporting haunches for roof.” There is no separate corbel or brick-ledge tool because there does not need to be.

Blockouts and recesses — one dialog, many names

Recess/Blockout Details carries a Shape list (Rectangle, Circle, Arch, Triangle) and a Z Offset. Between those two controls it covers everything below.

The anchor-bolt row is worth reading twice. If you are hunting for a bolt tool, there isn’t one: set the ledger and the bolts follow from it.

220

Feature Strip

lesson pending — see below

Panel Attributes also carries Color and Sealer beside Finish, which are separate concerns often lumped under “finish” on a drawing.

Feature Strip is the product’s word for a reveal, and it has its own dialog — both a horizontal and a vertical one. Its lesson is not written yet, so the row above points here rather than to a page that does not exist. The name is the useful half: search the menu for Feature Strip, not for reveal or rustication.

Where the two products genuinely differ

Everything above works in both products. These do not, and saying so is the point of the section — you should not spend twenty minutes hunting for something that is not there.

Spandrel seat

dialog exists but cannot currently be opened

Note

Why a spandrel seat is not simply missing. The manual notes that a Standard Opening or a Recess can carry a spandrel seat, so the shape is reachable — what does not currently open is the dedicated dialog. Tracked as CV-2036, with CV-2037 covering the two rows above.

Terms this page cannot yet place

These appear on drawings and have no confirmed home in either product. They are listed rather than omitted, because a customer searching for one deserves a straight answer instead of silence:

louver / vent opening · reglet (flashing) · brick-tie or dovetail anchor slot · weep hole · control joint / score line · corner return · bearing pad · pilaster cap · coil insert · slotted insert · bent bar · chord connector · welded-wire reinforcement · bond breaker · epoxy dowel · panel dowel · strongback insert · construction seat · pour / closure strip · arched opening

Warning

Do not read that list as “the product cannot do these.” Every one of them has been searched by name across the dialogs, the shipped type enums and the manual, and a name search failing is not evidence a feature is absent — corbel was nearly listed here before it turned out to be Lintel, and parapet before it turned out to be Top Profile. Both were found by asking what the product calls the thing, not by grepping for the industry word.

So this list is the honest state of an unfinished search, and the next pass on it starts from vocabulary rather than from repeating the same greps.
