219 — Slope details¶
Where the panel is drained — the falls that stop water sitting on it.
Note
This lesson also exists in the browser. Work it in ConstructiVision on the web — same steps, same values, so you can follow either and end up with the same panel.
Where it is¶
Program Options → Slope Details. Cap in the title: Slope Details (4 max).
Four, which is more than the edges get¶
Footing shapes and side slabs are capped at two — one per side. Slope details go to four, because drainage is not a per-side property: a single panel can carry several falls running in different directions.
This one usually has rows already¶
Unlike side slabs, which most panels do not have, a panel that needs drainage generally arrives with its falls already described — so this dialog often opens with rows in it rather than empty.
Both states are normal. Rows present means the falls are recorded; empty means this panel has none yet, and ▲ adds one. Neither is a fault.
Drainage is a drawing detail with a site consequence¶
A slope that is described but not cast is a puddle. This is one of the features where the gap between “on the drawing” and “on the panel” shows up in service rather than at inspection — so it is worth confirming the falls are on the panel drawing before the pour, not after the first rain.
No presets¶
Ninth feature dialog, same rule holding: no palette. A fall is set by where the water has to go.
What to take away¶
Up to four falls per panel, added one at a time, and worth checking on the drawing before the pour — because the failure shows up as standing water months later.
